THE PEACE-BUDDHA
FOR EUROPE

IN THE RHODODENDRON-PARK BREMEN

At home in the botanika in Bremen

The botanika is a truly unique nature discovery centre. Its glass-covered Asian landscapes provide a stunning sense of Himalayan nature and culture. Mountains, waterfalls and tree-high rhododendrons together with authentic elements from the Buddhist and Hindu cultural milieu allow visitors to immerse themselves in this wonderful setting. A particular highlight in the midst of the diverse habitats is the bronze Nirvana Buddha, which is one of the largest of its kind outside of Asia.

The botanika is located in the heart of Bremen’s well-known Rhododendron Park. In addition to an important botanical collection, the park is also home to a “human rights garden”, a bronze strip with the 30 Articles of the UN Charter.
